Been off gluten a few weeks and had my first acupuncture treatment in a month; doing better pain wise now. I was so bad that last week I was having a hard time walking drangging my left leg a lot of the time. Acupunturist relates it to the inflammation my body produced from eating gluten. She's glad that the challenge is over and thiks we can get me back to where I was before all this the only question is how long will it take.
I also saw my PCP for a recheck on my diabetes and to talk diet. She is rechecking my A1c to see if there is a change since my glucose numbers were high on the gluten. I told her "let's not do that again (the gluten challenge). It made me way to sick." That's what made her cry she said she just wanted me to get the sores on my legs healed (which are worse again). She feels she was doing the right thing by making me sick. I really didn't need it since the Dermatologist told her in July it was DH and I needed to be gluten free but those stupid blood tests mean more than common since I guess.
So in the end I'm back to gluten free with a gluten intolerance diagnosis to go with my previous wheat allergy diagnosis and waiting to see the Dermatologist on the 26th to start Dapson hoping to finally get rid of the DH blisters once and for all.
